Stan Hywet is creating The Families That Built Akron, an exhibit & video series for our 2026 season to coincide with America 250-Ohio --our state's commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the U.S.
We need your help.
We're looking for photos, videos/films, & other supplemental documents to capture important moments from YOUR family’s history in the Greater Akron area. There does not need to be a link between your story and Stan Hywet’s story. Our goal for this exhibit is to emphasize the significant role of individuals & families in creating Akron’s vibrant community.
